EUREKA OIL RIG TRIP

Join us for your next dive adventure aboard the SunDiver Express as we explore the beauty beneath Orange County's Eureka Oil Platform! The Eureka Oil Platform was first set down upon the ocean floor in 1984 and has since become a habitat for a large variety of marine life. Numerous anemones and other invertebrate life can be found encrusted on its support beams and pillars. A large array of color makes this an ideal spot to practice underwater photography with plenty of wide angle and macro shots.
The platform forms an artifical island of protection for larger marine life such as California Sea Lions and they are often found frolicking in the upper sections of the support beams.

Divers will board the charter boat the morning of the dive. Tanks, weights, air, and snacks are provided by the boat. Due to the nature of the dive and depth, divers must possess a minimum of ADVANCED certification OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE in order to participate. Those who do not meet certification or experience requires must go on a "check out dive" with a Dive California Professional Staff Member. There is no charge for this check out dive.
